Shurland Hall,
Isle of Sheppey

We were instructed by the Spitalfields Trust to re-build 3 chimney stacks on the Tudor gatehouse at Shurland Hall.

Two of these stacks featured striking barley twist shafts, and all had complex star-shaped crowns.

They were built in a hydraulic lime mortar which included crushed cockle shells, to match the original.
